Fatal truck accident kills 29-year-old man

Trucks are a frequent sight in Pittsburgh and throughout Pennsylvania. Other drivers will generally give these large vehicles often traveling at high speed significant room to avoid being involved in a crash with one. Because trucks are so large and can cause such massive damage, an accident can lead to severe injuries and fatalities. What makes these crashes worse is when they happen because the truck driver was behaving recklessly, negligently or was outright breaking the law. When there is a fatal truck accident, the people who have suffered the loss of a loved one should make sure they understand the process of filing a wrongful death lawsuit.

A crash between a car and a truck led to the death of a 29-year-old man. The accident occurred at around 4:45 p.m. The man who died was driving a Ford Mustang when the multi-vehicle accident happened. The driver was taken to the hospital where he died at around 6 p.m. The trucker, 69, rear-ended the Mustang. A total of four vehicles were involved in the accident. During their investigation, law enforcement found that there were skid marks 40 feet long before the accident.

A fatal accident is always a terrible thing to happen, but it is especially glaring when a young person is killed due to the apparent negligence of another. The family that has suffered the loss of a loved one in a fatal accident must be aware not just of the immediate issues they will face, but the long-term issues as well. First, there will be funeral expenses. Other factors will be the loss of companionship and income. Insurance companies are quick to offer a settlement to keep the family from pursuing compensation in a legal filing. However, these offers are often far less than what the family will need and it is a mistake to accept it immediately.

The investigation into a fatal car crash is one of the most important parts of a successful legal filing. Since the truck driver rear-ended the decedent and there were skid marks that extend 40 feet, there is substantial evidence that the truck was being operated recklessly. The man's family must make certain they are protected by discussing a possible lawsuit with an attorney.
